A story that started long before we knew it was one.
We were friends first.
Which, in hindsight, should've been our first clue.
It started with Darma making bad jokes and Ruth wondering why he kept making them. Somehow, that turned into 2AM book hunts at Big Bad Wolf, random supermarket dates, Darma waiting patiently through Ruth's endless shopping detours, endless blind box openings, and enough horror and thriller movies to last several lifetimes.

Somewhere in all that, we built a life together.
No fireworks.
No dramatic movie moment.
